Digital Journalism is a group of students who have created podcasts and written articles about the Waynflete community in Portland, Maine.
Taught by a local educator and journalist, students at Waynflete have spent a semester researching the topics that interest them. We have conducted interviews, recorded audio, and written articles about our school.

Fall 2023 Cohort
Lanie Pochurek ‘26
Lanie Pochurek is a sophomore at Waynflete High School in Portland, Maine. She mostly spends her time writing poetry, fiction, and articles for various publications. She is also a drummer, actress, surfer, camp counselor, and a big and little sister.
Vivian Rallis ‘24
A 17-year-old from Portland, Maine, Vivian Rallis loves anything that entails creativity. She spends most of her time writing, speaking French or spending time with friends and family. Through the art of storytelling, Vivian hopes to bring others into the creative world and shed light on what she deems most important, learning about others in our world.
Isra Mohamud ‘25
A junior at Waynflete School, Isra is a Maine native who enjoys learning new things and exploring the outdoors. She likes playing tennis, photography, literature, cooking, and spending time with family. Through journalism, she intends to learn from others and help share the power of storytelling.
Len Harrison ‘26
A sophomore at Waynflete, Len is passionate about anything language-related. They spend most of their time reading, writing, and walking in the woods by their house. They enjoy listening to other people’s stories and presenting them for the world to see.
Emma Reynolds, Teacher
Originally from Colorado, Emma is a podcast producer and teacher who has fallen in love with Maine. She loves stories about writing, community, and education. When she’s not at Waynflete, she can be found hanging out at coffee shops and hiking in the mountains.
